Biography: Dr Mahdi Rezaei is a Full-time Associate Professor of Computer Vision and Machine Learning at the University of Leeds, Institute for Transport Studies, UK.  He received his PhD degree (with Hons.) in Computer Science, from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2014. He also won the Top PhD Thesis Award 2014. Since 2006, he has held various academic responsibilities and roles at the University of Auckland, QIAU, Auckland University of Technology, and the University of Leeds. His research interests, in general, are in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and in particular, in Machine Learning, Autonomous Vehicles (Self-driving cars), Traffic Scene Understanding, and Semantic Segmentation.
